Seguridad nocturna

El objetivo del Programa Toque de queda (Curfew) SafeNite (Seguridad en la Noche) es reducir los riesgos de los jóvenes de llegar a ser autores o víctimas de delitos y/o violencia durante las horas del toque de queda. El programa ayuda también a reducir el número de casos vistos en el Tribunal Municipal Juvenil (191J) y permite retirar policías de las calles para llevarlos a patrullar nuestras vecindades.
Lo importante: relacionar la seguridad con el urbanismo. Seguridad de determinadas zonas, en determinadas épocas y momentos del día. Y dirigido a, o pensado para, una población específica: jóvenes entre 18 y ... años. Todo esto es, de algún modo, novedoso. Al menos respecto a la idea del Comprehensive Plan tradicional.
Un plan, por cierto, que Denver desarrolla sin incorporar modulación alguna por el Plan de Seguridad antedicho.... Con lo cual no remata ni potencia lo posible aquel plan de seguridad (por ejemplo, usos, infraestructuras de movilidad –transporte público-, alumbrado, etc.)...

The Columbine High School massacre occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at Columbine High School in unincorporated Jefferson County near Denver and Littleton, Colorado, United States. Two teenage students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, carried out a shooting rampage, killing twelve fellow students and a teacher before committing suicide. It is considered to be the worst school shooting, and is the second deadliest attack on a school, in U.S. history.

The massacre led to questions regarding gun control and the availability of assault weapons in the U.S. There was a great deal of concern related to the role of violent movies and video games in American society. Soon, other topics of focus began to surface which included the nature of high school cliques and bullying. Several of the victims who were believed to have been killed due to their religious beliefs became the inspiration of others, notably Christians, and led some to decry the decline of religion in public education and society in general. Another result of the shooting was the greater emphasis placed on school security. The massacre eventually led to a moral panic aimed at goth culture, heavy metal music, and violent video games.
